Plastic-Good or Bad

“Plastics are  Bad” by Ben and Mansur

Oil platforms drill into the Earths surface and extract oil from it.  Plastic fishing nets are hazardous to sea creatures.  The process of making plastic puts harmful chemicals into the land, air and water. These are my reasons for thinking that Plastics are bad.

These are some pictures of sea creatures that are dying because of plastic.

Mansur's Speech about Child Abuse

Child Abuse

Punching, Kicking, Pulling, Pushing, bumping, slapping, and there’s lots lots more. I’m here today to talk to you about child abuse. Did you know by the end of today there will be at least 5 children that have died of child abuse?

In 2010, 1,573 children died of child abuse. That is not that long ago. The amount of children that have already died are a lot  more than all children that we have at the whole of our school!

Now there is cases in the United States of America that 3.6 million child abuse cases are solved in one year. Imagine how many children in the whole world there are being abused.  That will be way more than 6.3 million.  That is a lot of children getting abused.

If you see anyone getting abused please tell someone about it. When kids that get older that have been abused or neglected they have a 50-50 chance of growing up as an alcoholic, drugie or a robber. There are lots of Helplines that you can all to report a child that you think is being abused or if you have been abused and you want to talk to someone about it in confidence.  There are always people wanting to help.

Please help the children that are getting abused.

Thank you for listening to my speech.  I hope you learned something new today So please help save a child because you never know  it might be you one day!
